Returns and Exchanges

At District 5 Boutique, we are proud to source products from the world's finest designers, ensuring exceptional quality and craftsmanship. To maintain our high standards, we have implemented a strict return policy.

Pre-Order / Special Order Notice

Due to the high cost of fabric and materials for gowns and dresses, all pre-orders and special orders are non-cancellable.

 

Store Credit Only

Ready-to-wear / Special or Pre order online purchases (excluding custom orders) can be returned within 10 business days for store credit or an exchange of equal or greater value. 

Store Credit Issuance and Validity

1. Issuance: Store credit may be issued by District 5 Boutique at its sole discretion, in place of a full or partial refund, for returned merchandise or other qualifying transactions.

2. Validity Period: All store credit issued by District 5 Boutique is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of issuance.

Return Abuse and Order Cancellation

District 5 Boutique reserves the right to monitor customer return activity, including the frequency and value of returned merchandise using store credit. Return Abuse" is defined as a pattern of customer returns that suggests intentional misuse of the store's return policy. This may include, but is not limited to, excessive returns, returns of damaged or used merchandise, or serial returns of the same item(s).

In the event that District 5 Boutique, in its reasonable discretion, determines a customer has engaged in Return Abuse, District 5 Boutique reserves the right to cancel any orders placed using store credit associated with that customer account.

This Store Credit Policy is effective as of January 1, 2023, and applies to all store credit issued by District 5 Boutique on or after that date.

 

Eligibility:

1. Items must be in original packaging with tags attached, free from perfumes, makeup, deodorant, or damage. If we find any damages, such as removed tags or stains, a 15% cleaning fee will be deducted from your store credit refund. We can provide photos as evidence of any issues found. To avoid these charges, we strongly advise you to leave the tags intact and ensure the item is in good condition before shipping it back to us.

2. You have 10 business days from the day you receive your package to return it.  If you do, you can choose to get store credit or exchange it for a different size or style!

3. You may send an email to support@district5boutique.com and we'll be happy to provide you with a return instruction.

4. You may request a return online: Log in to your order and click "Request Return" for the specific item(s) you'd like to send back.
Please note: International customers will be responsible for covering the cost of shipping the returned item(s) back to us.

5. Processing Time: Returns are processed within 10 business days after receipt at our warehouse. We will inspect the items and notify you if they are not accepted or confirm your store credit issuance.

6. If returning an order where store credit was applied, the refund will be in the form of store credit as well, less shipping fees/restocking fees. Store credit is valid for one year only. 

7. We understand some customers might ship to the US, then forward it abroad. Please note, the return window starts once the package is delivered to the original US address.

 

Final Sale Items:

Custom-made dresses and final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. Additionally, any modifications made to the dress after it has been delivered to the customer will also render the dress non-returnable.

 

In-Store Purchase Policy:

All in-store purchases are final and cannot be returned or exchangedSame-day delivery gowns and dresses are also final sale.

Appointment Fees are non refundable. 

 

Promotional Sales:

 Items purchased at 40% off or more are final and non-returnable.

 

Exchanging for a Different Style or Size

How to initiate an exchange:

To request an exchange, please contact our customer success team within the 10-day return window. You can reach us via Email, WhatsApp, or Hotline.

 

Exchange fees:

Exchanging for a different size: A reprocessing fee, which includes the reshipping fee, will be charged. The gown/dress is non-returnable.
Exchanging for an in-stock item: A reshipping fee will be charged.

 

Exchange inspection:
Any item you wish to exchange for a different style will be thoroughly inspected upon its return to our warehouse.


District 5 Boutique LLC has the right to decline any returns or exchanges if the garment does not meet the above requirements.

 

International Shipping and Receiving Policy

 

For Lost Packages:

If your package is lost or damaged during shipping, please contact our customer success team. We'll be happy to assist you in filing a claim with the shipping carrier. However, please note that as the carrier is a third-party company, we cannot be held liable for the loss or damage.

Customs Regulations:

Every country has different customs policies and regulations. In some instances, customs authorities may need to contact you regarding the clearance of your shipment, or other related matters. By furnishing us with your correct contact information, you grant us permission to share these details with relevant customs officials if required.

Refused Packages:

Please be aware that if you intentionally refuse to accept your package, you will still be charged a restocking fee and the original shipping fee.

Accurate Information: 

For a smooth international shipping process, please provide precise and complete details when placing your order. This includes your full name, accurate shipping address, valid email address, and an active telephone number.

Privacy and Confidentiality: 

Your provided contact details will solely be used for customs and duties communication purposes. Safeguarding your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we will not share this information with any third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Updating Contact Information: 

If your contact information changes after placing an order, please inform our customer success team without delay. Keeping your details current ensures that crucial communications reach you without interruption.

Shipping Fees are non refundable. 

 

Color Accuracy Disclaimer

We strive to ensure that the colors of our products on District5Boutique.com, across our social media platforms, and in our email campaigns are as accurate as possible. However, please note that variations in computer monitors, tablets, and mobile devices, as well as screen brightness settings, can affect how colors are displayed. As a result, the colors you see on your screen may not be an exact representation of the actual product.
